Russian version of famous card game 3-13. I learned it at flight Frankfurt-San Francisco. Objective is to get lowest score after 11 rounds.
Initially the 4 players have 3 cards each. Also there are one face-open card and face-down stock pile. In order, you must pick one upper card from open or closed pile and discard one card back to the top of open pile. After that next clockwise player make a move.
The goal is to create combinations within your cards. There are two kind combinations. The first one is 3 or more the same cards, for example three Dames, or three Kings or three sevens. The second combination is color street with 3 or more cards. For example 9,10,J of spades or D,K,A of hearts.
When all your cards are in combinations you shout DIABLO and open your cards. Other people can make 1 last move to complete round. Because you finished first you have 0 penalty points, but other players score their points.
All cards in combinations are not scored. Other cards have weight, threes - 3 points, fours- 4 ponts, etc, Kings - 13 points, Ace - 14 points.
Round is complete. Next deal is 4 cards to each player, then - 5 cards. Game is over after 11 rounds. Remember, there are 2 jokers in the game and 4 wild cards in each round. Jokers and wild cards can be any card as you wish. In 3-cards round, the threes are wild cards. In 4-cards deal, the fours are wild cards. In the last 13-cards deal the Kings are wild cards.
